Welcome to The Upgrades Factory, the future site for a new type of PC hardware shopping experience. As an avid part-time PC enthusiast and web developer, I have always wished for a service that provides sensibly organized and accurate information to those of us who are computer savvy and need the latest equipment, but do not dwell exclusively in the ever changing world of I.T. WIth the limited time I have to devote to my hobby, I have recently found that I did not have the time to continuously update my knowledge of the fast changing PC hardware technologies available on today's market. After wading through vast amounts of incredibly technical information every 6 months in order to upgrade my system, I realized that there was a significant lack of basic information about what technologies are available and what is coming over the horizon. This led me to a business concept for a quick online resource that gen-X'ers like myself who want quality high-end hardware without having to obtain an engineering degree. In short, UF will be a service that provides informed and complete information on current PC technology, replete with basic detail on performance, quality and pricing and then directs the user to the best storefront for that product. Having reviewed the main shopping web services that offer API's to developers, none of them seemed to have the detail and scope that I would like to see when I am shopping, so I came up with the concept of upgradesfactory.com. with a view to developing a new type of site that provides both savvy and novice users with an "informed" means of continuously upgrading their computer equipment. This site is currently under development. Please bookmark and revisit periodically to see what we are planning.
